Miguel Ruiz is a full-time undergraduate student at New York University's School of
Professional Studies and is a licensed financial service professional at BFI Financial. Currently,
at NYU, he is a senior studying business leadership and management with a marketing
concentration. At BFI Financial, he helps families become financially informed, save for
retirement, and create generational wealth through life insurance.
Miguel has held various positions in different career fields. He began his endeavor in 2013 as an
airborne qualified indirect-fire infantryman in the U.S. Army, where he served overseas for four
years. Once transitioning out of the military in 2017, Ruiz became a high school assistant coach
in Madera, California. He taught and mentored young individuals to succeed in wrestling and the
Miguel is a 2019 Fresno City College graduate in California, where he earned an associate
degree in Business Administration and was part of the FCC wrestling team. Once graduating
from FCC, he transferred to New York University and is currently a Captain for the NYU
Wrestling Team. In his free time, he enjoys working out, reading, and traveling.
